For authors
For the writer, not the studio
Upload a draft chapter or a finished book. Listen to it the way a reader will — catch the pacing issues your eyes stopped seeing three revisions ago. When you're ready to distribute, the same file exports as chapter-aware MP3s.

How it helps
Every self-published author lives with the same two problems: catching what your eyes stopped seeing after the fifth read, and getting an audio edition out without a four-figure narrator invoice. Audionarrator handles both from the same upload.

How it works
Upload your manuscript — PDF, DOCX, or EPUB, up to 50 MB per file
Skim the auto-detected chapters — hide the ones you don't want narrated (dedication, acknowledgments, back matter)
Listen chapter by chapter, or export each as MP3 for distribution
Questions
Straight answers before you upload a word.
No. ACX (Audible's independent upload pipeline) still requires human narration for third-party submissions. Amazon's own Virtual Voice on KDP is a separate program that only supports their in-house voices — you can't upload Audionarrator audio there. If Audible is the goal, hire a narrator. If Spotify, Google Play Books, or Kobo works, our export goes straight in.
Findaway Voices (Spotify's distribution arm) accepts AI-narrated audiobooks with a disclosure flag. Google Play Books and Kobo Writing Life do too. Follow each platform's voice-disclosure policy and you're clear to distribute.
It's the second-most-common reason authors upload. Load a draft, listen at 1.5x while your eyes follow the page, catch the sentence that ran on for two paragraphs. Delete the book when you're done — nothing lingers.
A mid-tier ACX-approved narrator runs $200–$400 per finished hour. A 6-hour audiobook lands at $1,200–$2,400 minimum. Audionarrator's Pro plan is $45/month and covers 200,000 words — roughly 20 hours of audio. Cancel any month you're not shipping.
Not in-place yet. If you catch a typo, you fix the source text and regenerate that chapter — takes a few minutes, not a re-record. In-place editing is on the roadmap; tell us if it's blocking you and it moves up.
It's stored so we can regenerate audio if you change voice or fix a typo. We don't sell it, we don't train models on it, and deleting a book wipes both the text and the audio from storage. If you want stronger guarantees for an unreleased manuscript, email support before uploading.
